2009 House Bill 09-1091:
New and existing single- and multi-family dwellings that contain fuel-burning appliances, fireplaces, and/or attached garages must be equipped with CO alarms placed within 10 feet of sleeping areas. (Effective date: July 1, 2009)
8 CCR 1302-7 (pg 23):
Manufactured Housing: An approved carbon monoxide alarm shall be installed outside of each separte sleeping area within 15 feet of the bedroom.
8 CCR 1302-8 (pg 7-9):
Group I or R occupancies (including lodging establishments) located in a building containing a fuel-burning appliance or in a building which has an attached garage shall be equipped with a single-station carbon monoxide alarm located 15 feet from the entrance of any bedroom.
6 CCR 1010-6 (pg 16):
Schools: Carbon monoxide alarms shall be installed in areas where fossil fuel-fired heaters and applicances are used such as in boiler rooms and kitchens.
